Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

1. Before you rely on this page
This page was written for this site rather than lifted from anywhere, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes what an opt-out request is and how to send one. It is not legal advice, and it does not yet state a verified description of how this business handles personal information.
2. What this page is for
Several state privacy laws — California's among them — give you the right to tell a business to stop selling your personal information or sharing it for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page is how you tell Julia Buys Houses to stop.
"Selling" in these laws is broader than money changing hands for a list of names. Passing your details to another company so that it can market to you can count, whether or not anyone was paid for it.
What this site does with a request you send it is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. How to make a request
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".
What to include
- The email address and phone number you gave us, so we can find your record.
- The property address, if you submitted one.
- Whether you are making the request for yourself or on someone else's behalf as their authorised agent.
We ask for those details to be sure we are acting on the right record. We do not ask for more than that, and we do not use what you send in a request for anything other than answering it.
4. What happens next
We will confirm that we received your request, and act on it within the time the applicable law allows — 15 business days for an opt-out under California law, and up to 45 days for the broader requests some other states provide for.
An opt-out stops the selling and sharing. It does not by itself delete what we already hold, and it does not stop a buyer you already asked to contact you from calling you about that request. If you want your information deleted, or you want to stop hearing from a buyer you were introduced to, say so and we will treat it as a separate request.
5. You will not be treated differently for asking
We will not deny you a service, charge you a different price, or give you a worse offer because you exercised a privacy right. If you think that has happened, write to [email protected] and tell us.
